Today I went about my usual water change and sand vac routine. I lay down a black garbage bag flat on the carpet and then take all the wood, rocks and plants out of my tank and set it on the bag. I have this cavernous piece of driftwood all my clown loaches like to lay in. I took it out, shook it pretty vigorously in and above the water to knock any of them out that may be hiding in there and set it on the bag. I started vacuuming the sand but then I started hearing what sounded like drops of water hitting the bag from a couple feet up. I knew immediately what it was. I looked on the bag and sure enough one of my 1.5" clowns was laying there flopping around. I grabbed a small net and scooped him up and put him back in the tank. He didn't even look scared. He stayed near the front of the glass dancing away like nothing had ever happened. I will never understand these fish as long as I live lol.
