is this an indoor or heated pond ? clown loaches are sensitive to cold temps and will get ich easy

Sorry, but your wrong. Whilst low temps are problematic anyhow since loaches live in water that is 26-29 degrees, ich has to actually be present in the water in the first instance. It doesn't lie dormant, (proven by a variety of scientific papers) a fish has to "have it" in their system. Stress and cold temps can bring it into an active stage.

ok , mr right guy , the point is , loaches tend to be sensitive to low temperatures , and often get ich even before other other tankmates show symptoms
