Clown loach huts

Bought 5 clown loaches may get some more. Planning on making them a hut out of coconuts, should it be a whole coconut or half? and should i leave the meat in there for them to eat or take it out? any help would be awsome of course pics of huts and loaches will be up when completed.

I don't know alot about clown loaches or coconuts but I bet the meat in the coconut will be too much for them to eat before it starts to decay and cause water quality issues.

kinda what i figured but was not sure wanted a whole coconut but not sure thats possible without leavin the meat inside. i guess i could cut a circle out of the bottom dig the meat out burry the whole and just drill a whole through the side

Ya I remember trying to stab myself with a butter knife trying to get that stuff out
Ya might wanna make sure ya got smooth edges on the holes too.

yea the bigger whole on the bottom will be burried in sand and can use a spade bit on a drill to cut the bigger whole for them to come and go. will use sand paper and a spoon to dig out and smooth

heres the coconut, was a pain to do kinda but boiling helps remove the meat from the inside and also kills any unwanted stuff. found it easier to use a large drill bit and use it to grind away versus using a paddle bit like i had planned.

You can also get the meat out by cooking it.

yea i boiled it and it seemed to help it seperate, ewurm what all veggies can i feed these guys they love little live tubiflex worms but would like to get them some veggies
