Is it okay to treat CL's with salt to remove ich? If not, what meds are ok with CL's?

I treated my clown loach ich with 94 degree water for 3 days

The problem is, I can't make the temp that high with the other fish I have in there.

I have always treated Ich with 86F and some salt.

Just make sure you increase the oxygen in your water when putting the temp that high. 86F should be easy to reach in the US during summer :)

Is salt OK for the clown loaches though? I heard they are very sensitive to it.

How many tspns per gallon? Someone told me 1 tspn per 5 gallons every 12 hours.

I just followed the directions on it to be honest. Clown loaches are sensative when you first get them, but after you get them healthy they can be rather hardy. For example, in the spring I was without power for 5 days due to a tornado, my tank was at/below 62F (lowest that my thermostat would go) and when I finally got back power all 5 of my clowns were just fine. Little stressed out and hungry (I didn't feed while there was no power) but just fine.

I've had Ich a few times over the years - usually with new pickups. Bump up the temp, add an air stone or two and add salt and it will be gone before you know it.

Salt is fine for clown loaches IME. The main thing you want to do with ich though is bump the heat, make sure you do that if you're going the heat/salt route.

like everyone else said just use salt and raise the temp. i added a powerhead blowing towards the top of the water to get more oxygen and got over it succesfully.

Loaches are more sensitive to salt due to being scaleless fish, but for short-term ich treatment, they'll be okay.... you just don't want to keep them long-term in water treated with salt.
