clown loach killers?

There is nothing left of my bushy nose pleco but a piece of tail, the clown loaches are 4" and my bushy nose pleco was 1.5". Anyone else have clown loaches kill other fish? Or could it be that my pleco died and then the clowns just scavage on the carcass? My pleco was full stomach and really healthy.

I would say the pleco died and clown loaches scavanged. I had a bristle pleco that was rather protective of his algae tabs and actually would chase the loaches away who were 3-4x his size.

Most likely they just scavenged on it. I keep my loaches with small half inch fish and they dont touch them.

I doubt a clown would ever attack another fish, it's most rare, but they can if required defend themselves with their sub occular spines. Tasty!
