I have read that clown loaches are not fan of bright lights and being a planted tank it requires some lighting. I have the lighting already but it is a dual bulb fixture that is 10000k + actinic bulbs. I was going to run a cycle of 10 hours as we do in our other planted tank. I have 6 clown loaches right now as they are schooling and more comfortable in larger groups. They are in a 55 gallon with 4-5 hiding places (caves or hollow driftwood). I have a 150 gallon to move them into when they get larger.

Would this effect the clown loaches?

I am feeding them brine shrimp, bloodworms, and sinking shrimp pellets right now, anything else I should add to the diet?

They might just adapt well to bright lighting in captivity. They can do that. Add shrimps, mussels, vegetables and boiled egg whites in their diet.
