CLOWN LOACH QUESTION

Hey people,

I've had a lovely group of clowns for sometime now, I have 11 from 3"-7" and while I don't ever see them all at once, they add a nice dimension to the tanks population.

I'm looking to rescape the tank completley and would like to go for the heavily planted look. But I know these guys love to eat plants, is there any plans that they wouldn't eat?

I´m yet to find one (plant species) and that´s not for lack of trying.

They seem to eat the broadleaf ones like sword plants. I'd try the fine leaved plants.

Mine chewed holes in my Java Fern.

I have val, anubias, java fern, african fern in my tank at home and at work. None of the clown loaches touch them. At home I have 15, 3 inch loaches. At work we have a group of 12 or so, 5-8 inchers. At work they go nuts for banquets with plankton in them. At home not yet.

Basically vacation feeders, with plankton mixed in. they have a green tint to em, and smell horrible

Clowns at work have been in planted tank for 3+ years.

I dont think they are very plant friendly id just go for the logs and dim lighting look!
