i heard somewhere that the spines that Clown Loaches flare out from under their eyes when upset are venomous!
is it true??
i think theyre just serrated so it FEELS like a sting...?

Venomous? :bs:

They're just painful, nothing more. This is why they get tangled in nets.;)

No venom has been found. It's a paper cut.

not venomous to my knowledge....

Its true there are spines under their eyes but they are not poisonous but with any fish that has sharp spines you should be careful because of the bacteria that is naturaly present on your fish it can sometimes cause quite an infection if your are to be poked or scratched by it. Clown loaches do show their spines when threatened for a short period or if they are sick they will protrude.

Fish tuberculosis for instance should not be taken slightly. There always exists a possibility to get this from aquarium fishes if they happen carrying the "seeds" for this disease.
