Clown loach stocking

Mostly yes, but I have always found that schools of mixed fish don't shoal together as nicely, and don't look as nice as a school of a single species of fish.
Ok just curious. I currently have 6 and would like one more but my others are 4 to 4.5 inches. I want one of the same size but there hard to find that big.
In my experience at least, the size of the CL's won't make much difference. My school of 7 range in size from 1.5"-5" and they school together nicely with zero aggression.
If your going to stock clowns stay away from them blue botias cause they'll fight and beat on the clowns. Same size clowns swim better together then mix sizes.
they are my gf's favorite part of my bichir tank haha, she could care less about all the other cool fish, just loves to watch the loaches squad up and buzz the others lol
If you're sticking with clowns, don't worry too much about the different sizes as long as your tank has enough floor space. If you're getting a little one I would just get two. The little guys appreciate having someone else to pal around with that's their size. Don't forget to quarantine!
