I have 8 clown loaches and two of them keep sucking on the head and face of my 2 parrot cichlids. The clown loaches are small, about 2" and the parrot cichlids are about 5" but since they can't really defend themselves, the loaches just keep attacking them. The parrots started getting white spots on their head due to the sucking so I seperated them. Their heads have returned to normal now but do you know why the loaches are doing this and can I somehow get them to stop?
They're all in a 75 G tank with lots of rocks and hiding places for the clowns. I also have african cichlids and the loaches and cichlids are just fine together.
