They cruise in shoals. One would be a terrible idea, id get at least 5

Yep they do better in groups.

well i have a 150 gal. tank with 2 parrot cichlids and soon a green terror and a sevrum wont 5 clown loachs make me overstocked

NO not at all, you can put twice as many in there

Do it, 150 isnt a huge tank but its not a 55. If you do your water changes and have a decent filtration system you'll be fine. CLs like clean water as does every fish, try not to get any under 2'' cause they are really sissyish when that small

They would all do just fine in a 150. The more CLs the merrier

I Say ditch the parrots and get more clowns. I have 7 in a 75 atm. They are my all time fav fish.
