Hi
I just got 7 clown loaches for a good price (free) My ? is do they have to be the same size in a small school? 6 of them are about 2" and 1 is about 4"
I could put the big one in my 75g but theres a "blue" Botia around 4.5" in there and its a little aggressive.
I keep mostly NW cichlids and my Botia (didnt they change that genus around) knowledge is poor. So any advise would be helpful.
Thank you

It doesn't matter what size your clowns are. They'll still group together. Don't even think of mixing them with very aggressive loaches such as modestas.

By the way, loaches are not catfish but cyprinids.;)

Thank you Lupin
yeah there not catfish but I didnt know where else to post. I figured bottom dwellers would be best.

Just add lots of cover for them to hide in and they'll be right.

Lots of drift wood should do it.

Loaches love things to hide under, I agree that driftwood is good.. I have found that the more places they have to hide, the more bold they are.

Thanks guys
In the future where should I post ? about loaches

"Bottom Dwellers" is the correct place to post any questions regarding loaches.

Congrats on the pickup, that's a pretty sweet deal...you can't beat free.

Feeling a little stupid
I thought the only forums for bottom dwellers were catfish, pleco and rays-never scrolled down past the subforums. oops

Great pick up and Free is even greater!!!
