Alright so, I love CLs and botia lol, I really like varying their food and have been having really good luck with coloration. I can usually see really good colors in about a week. Here is what I feed, I would love to see what any other MFkers are feeding as well!

Secret CL blend:

1 Mango Peels
2 Chunk of banana
3 Small piece of salmon fillet
4 cucumber

Too keep all this from floating around everywhere and getting stuck to the power heads, I bought a clear ghost knife house and packed all the good stuff in there. Now They know where to get food and I know if I need to clean up any left overs.

I still use blood worms and wafers, like I said, I would love to see what anyone else is doing.

i hang a fork on a string and when it's time for veggies i draw out the fork, jab on the veg & drop it back down. Looks terrible, but works. Nicked the idea from a guy on LOL.
I feed whatever's going for dinner or in the fridge or in the compost or i can nick from the cat (dead lizards & frogs). Earth worms to live snails to lettuce & zucchini & pumpkin to tinned tuna & salmon to banana & pawpaw to aloe vera to the sinking pellet fish-food from the local petshop.
Only thing they don't gobble up right away are the earth-worms! So I probably have populations of California red-wrigglers & some sort of red aquatic annelid in my substrate...

You know what I had a little luck with, were gonzo beans. Some of them like it! same here on the earth worms. it just takes a while for them to eat it but they nip at it... I think its classic case of playing with your food.

The beans only work with a few of them and raw broccoli seems to only work with one of the. They Eat non-stop if I let them, who knew they would be picky about their greens?
