Ok I just got my group of Kitumba Fronts and I put them in a 125 gallon tank with a group of Clown Loaches that were already in the tank. My question is the Clown Loaches are big, about 5-6 inches and thick too. the baby Kitumba are only an inch or so, maybe 1.5 at the most. Will the loaches kill them? I keep going to the tank and checking and everything seems fine but the loaches are so big I'm a nervous wreck. Should i remove them?

I have about 3 loaches and my Frontosa are much bigger I really don't think they we hurt the Frontosa. Just feed the Loaches lots of Green food and you shouldn't have a issue!

How many Clown Loaches? The Fronts should be ok as long as you keep the Loaches fed well.

5 Loaches. I keep them fed well but am still alittle nervous. I ordered the Fronts on line and wasn't expecting them to be so tiny. I'm almost tempted to take out the Fronts and place them in a 25 gallon tank for a month or so.

If your worried put the Fronts in growout. The loaches should be fine since you feed them well.

Do you add any salts or buffers?

I wouldn't worry about the Clown Loaches

The Loaches were in the tank with some large central americans and were pretty mild mannered but now with all these babies in the tank with them the Loaches are all over the tank and aside from the loaches possibly eating some of them they are swimming really fast, kind of going crazy and I'm afraid they are upsetting the fromtosa. Does that make any sense? The tank is beautiful but the Loaches seem out of control at the moment.

The pH of the tank won't really be ideal for loaches. I doubt loaches will bother the frontosa, but I don't recommend African Cichlids and Loaches together because of pH issues.

Fronts won't be really happy with very active fish swimming about.
