I have 2 paroon sharks about 9-9.5" long.
I know they get really big. Just didn't know when I got them a few years ago. Got them at a petstore, first time I had seen that species... they were already stunt as the barely grew since they got here. Now I reasearch any fish I get a lot before... live and learn...
I added 6 clown loaches with them, ranging from 3.5" to 6".
So far, they get along fine. They all cuddle up together in the middle of the tank if they get any stress (like water changes).
So far also, the paroons seem to really NOT want to eat the loaches. Like if they had a stinging feel if they get their mouthes closer to them. Now not any kind of feeding on the loaches interest at all. The paroons even move away from them while swimming and even at feeding times, when they get crazy.
I was wondering if the paroon won't weat clown loaches or if I am just lucky for now...
any of you have experience with both species together.
At the time beeing they are really nice together. I just don't want to come home with a loach missing and a big bellied paroon...
