Has anyone else noticed their loaches changing color from dark orange/dark black to light orange and light black? My old loaches stayed the same color but my new ones change to a lighter color when I'm feeding them or doing a water change.

I've seen loaches get sort of greyish when stressed but never during feeding. How long have you had them and whats the temp?

I've had them a little over a month and the temp is about 82. I feed them small sinking pellets and blood worms. They seem normal and healthy to me. Its just they change colors.
I wouldn't be too alarmed. Clowns change to lighter shades when they're fighting for dominance or or due to aging. I've had stressed loaches before and color tones remain the same. What changes with stress is heavy rapid breathing. Here's a couple old examples of temporary pale loaches.
