Clown loaches disappearing ?

Is it normal for clown loaches to hide inside ornaments at night. They swim around in the group of 5 I bought all day long, then at night once the light is off in the tank I can't seem to find any of them. Where did they go I have no idea. And I'm
New to the clown loaches so idk how they behave just yet

Yes they are experts at hiding. I had a under gravel filter on my 180 and they got down under the trays

They will hide. You'd think you lost some and then one day you see the whole group again.
They are a lot of fun to watch when they play though.

My clowns shut it down when the sun goes down. As soon as all the sunlight is gone from the window curtains, the clowns dissapear.

Hiding is the natural instinct of many oddball fish. Rays, eels, knife fish, elephant nose fish, ect.
