When I first had my clown loaches in a community tank of gouramis and tetras they were more mellow and shy. Changed over the tank to orange head geos (found they don't dig like a red hump or jurupari but that's another topic) and red spot severums and to my surprise they are getting nippy. They don't spot the food as quickly and end up in the feeding fray kind of nippy at the other fish making an audible clicking sound when they nip. I think it was the largest loach at 4-5 inches that got confused and while feeding some pellets mistook the eyeball of a red headed geo and took out the poor little guys eye. The geo survived and I wanted to give it away because it grosses me out to look at him but the kids felt sorry for him and nicknamed him one eyed Jack. Still may end up giving him away so check the boards. Anyone else find this behavior in their clown loaches. Also will a tire track eel be ok with them - I am thinkning yes?
