I was thinking about buying some baby clown loaches maybe around 2". how long would it take them to grow to about 5-6"?

Slower than the slowest thing you could ever imagine X 1000. That's why they are so rare and expensive large. Seriously, it'll take 5 years minimum and probably longer for 5-6inch. I've kept them for many years, Check out my thread to see some huge ones.
