Thinking about putting some clown loaches in a guppy breeding tank. It is a 30 extra tall, so there should be plenty room. Does anyone know if the loaches will eat the guppy fry? Appreciate the help.

They will eat they eggs and a 30 extra tall is definitely not big enough for clown loaches unless it is being used for very small ones as a grow out.

guppy eggs eh?
Never seen them before, but the clowns will probably take on the fry. The clowns could be in there for a short while, but they will need an upgrade. They are slow growers IMO, but they do get huge eventually, so take that into an account. They also like being in shoals of at least 4-5, the more the better. Is there any reason you want them? Kuhli loaches stay smaller and are neat in my mind.

Guppy Eggs:screwy:

Its really late, haha.

I agree on the Kuhli loaches though. Very interesting and different fish that dont get big.

Thanks for the comments. Thought the loaches should be good in the 30 extra tall for at least a year or two. Thanks for the advice will just leave the guppies as is for now
