I see many people catching non-native tropicals in the southern U.S. but Clown loaches?!!!?! A friend at the LFS told me today he heard someone netting clown loaches in Socal. Big ones! can anyone verify this?!

I have not heard that, but I guess it is possible. They have been reports by the state wildlife service in South Carolina, of Lionfish being caught of the coast of Charleston.

wow crazy i better get my nets ready lol

the lionfish problem is very true. I caught a 13" red volitan lion while fishing in galveston, TX.

If you go to the fish and game website they have a list of non-native species found broken down by state region.

I have never heard about that, but I would be on my way!

Hmmm..Clown loaches breeding there? I wouldn't be surprised but the habitat they came from has fast flowing currents allowing the eggs to escape predation. Are the rivers and streams there just like their native habitats?
