I have 5 large clown loaches that are a little to nippy to my new Red Hooks Silver Dollars. Can I move the clowns to my 75 gallon with my bichirs(6 of them) with out tearing the plants up? Also would the bioload be to big with 2 Cascade 1000 and, 40-50% water changes weekly.
Plants include several crypt species, ozlet and amazon swords, jungle vallisneria and, wisteria. This will not be permnament just till I get a 125 gallon setup.

Hmmm...I'd include vegetables in their diet just to distract them a bit. Some can uproot, some can eat. It depends on their preferences. You can leave clipped veggies round the clock to keep them busy.

Thanks what kind of veggies should I leave I always have cucummber but, never seem interested in them?

Broccolis, zucchini, seaweeds, cucumbers and carrots are worth a try.

In my experience botia loaches really like sword plants, they punch bite size holes in the new leaves... mine leave everything else alone. I do feed vegetables, but they still do it.

I could move the swords to a 20 gallon long for the time being until the 125 gallon comes.
