MY clown loaches wont heal from quick and ive used ich cure and yes i know half dosage is needed for fish like clown loaches for they are scaleless fish but its been 4 days since they got ich and I want them to be in my tank but there sick please help *note* fish is in hospital tank contents Amazon sword plant/young ling crawlers clown loaches and platy please help:nilly::feedback:

I have a loach that had it so bad that he looked a completely different color. I used a medicine with malechite green first, then ultimately the salt and boosted temp worked the best. I was able to salvage a lot of my fish (I didn't have a hosp. tank at the time), i only ended up losing a dragon goby.
I slowly raised the temp to about 85 F, and added salt with a huge water change at first, Then I fed the fish less and kept the temp low for about a week and a half. They say that once you have reached the peak temp, the ick only has 48 hours to find a place to live.
Hope it helps, My loach is one of my favorite fish!
Good Luck.

Nothing quick about a scaleless fish healing up from an ich infection, esp not in 4 days. Give it time and stay on track with the instructions of your med's and water changes. Make sure they are 100% and then some before you add them to your main tank or you run the risk of contaminateing your entire population. I quickly found out that in this hobby patients = win, rushing = fail.

you need more than 4 days, if you read the medication it will say how long the meds go in for and how long to leave it before adding carbon to a filter again. up the temp a couple of degrees as mentioned to speed up the life cycle of the ich.

you could also try using Interpet Anti-whitespot medication because you can use it at full strength, ive used it on clowns before and its amazing even on the normal life cycle of ich. thats if you can get it in the states.
