I have heard it is very rare to breed them in captivity. Also, if you are trying to make sure you have more than just 2. Clown loaches are very social and should be kept in a large group. I have 5 in my 75 gallon and I wish I would have bought at least 7. They are so fun to watch in big numbers too.
From what I have read it is very hard to do. I bought 30 clown loaches with plans on them breeding in 2-3 years, but I have heard it might take longer than that to breed them.
I have searched for this information earlier because this is one of my most favorite fish, but I have never heard of breeding eczept for this: http://www.loaches.com/loachbreeding.html
By the way: www.loaches.com is an ecsellent site for these family.
