Think that 2 of my large loaches may have skinny disease. Started seeing lines/bones along the side of their heads. I have fenbendazole livestock dewormer pellets and heard they will work but I've also heard horror stories about people trying this.
i have not been able to find it anywhere, local feed store told me it generally isnt sold without prescription anymore. I've used deworm flake food from 'florida guppies plus' with moderate success

From my understanding it went to vet use only and now it's "obsolete" basicly. I talked with a vet back in the day when I was looking for it and was told that alot better things are available. Coke heads use it to cut also, which helped get it restricted. Try out the General Cure it has 250 mg Metronidazole and 75 mg Praziquantel per packet as they say so it takes care of things from a few different angles.
Also while I'm at it, I've not dealt with fenbendazole. But the met. and prazy in General Cure are pretty hard to O.D your fish on. Someone suggested checking out the LOL forum, they'll basicly recommend levamisole (for the non u.s'rs) and the name of a few other things. I took those names did a search and that's how I came to General Cure. Kujiraya has a good point also.
Well I guess parasites in water is an issue. But strip tests are always good. Nitrates, ammonia,Ph, all that stuff is under control. My fish never get sick. my loaches are between 6 and 12 years of age collectively.
