I was wondering what is the best food to get these two species to max size the quickest. Ive had the sydontis for about a year now and the loachs (5) for probably 6 months. Ive been feeding them freeze dryed bloodworms and they clean the bottom of the mess the other fish leave, but their growth seems to be very slow. Is there a specific food I can feed them to help them grow faster?

Nope.......CL's especially grow slow, and they live quite awhile.I've seen some 12",they were so old there colors had pretty much washed out as well as the stripes. You could soak pellets in Vita Chem to give 'em some help but in no way do Clown Loaches grow at the rate of a cichlid,so just imagine....................

Variety is best. I feed mine Hikari Carnivore, algae wafers, blood worms, krill, mussels, glassworms, mysis, brine, daphnia, and Omega One Flake.
