i am trying to get my whole tank onto pellets, but since my CK is the smallest and has the smallest mouth i was wondering how i should do it

he is about 6-7" and feeding mainly on bloodworms now

what brand and size pellets should i try? sinking floating? how many? how often? that kind of stuff

also- not just the clown, but with all my fish, how long should they go without eating before it is TOO long? if they dont eat the pellets, obviously i want to go back to the bloodworms / feeders

They're not THAT hard to get on pellets, but they're not easy too. They have bigger mouths than you think. A 6" to 7" could take medium size pellets. I've always had success with Hikari brand. Every fish I've had seems to adapt to Hakari pretty easily. What kinds of other fish do you have in there? Once the CK sees other fish eating the pellets, it'll learn pretty quickly that the pellets are edible.

i've got a little bit of everything in the tank! :) but the new aro i just got is on pellets and i want to keep it that way! so i figured it would be a good time to switch over

2 silver's at 7" and 14"
obviously, the clown around 6-7"
TSN 10"
irwini 9"
p.bass 7" and 9"

evreything was on comets and bloodworms until about 4 days ago ... now they are all pretty much holding out for that stuff again. how long should i wait before it is too long for them to go without food?

How long should you wait? Until they start eating what you give them. They won't starve, you don't have any really finicky fish, and they're just spoiled on that "good" stuff!!

just start sticking a couple freeze dried blood worm pellets in with the frozen ones

I agree partly with what he says. Sometimes the fish may not give in so I wouldn't go more then one week. What I did was I would mix the pellets in with the frozen food and slowly give them less and less of the frozen until I stopped giving them completely.

Hikari sinking carnivore pellets worked well for me.
