Clown Pleco L104

I just picked up 2 Clown Pleco's L104 my tank is semi planted with3 Good size pieces of DW. I add Romane,Cucumber,Zuccini atleast 5 times a week.
Should I known anything else about them? They are about 1.5".
O i read on Planet Catfish they like Yams. Does any1 else do this?

Never tried yams... mine likes algae, or which I have plenty to offer.
