Clown pleco with poly

I know that pleco are bad combination with polys,
I was going to do a pleco tank with my son tank but end up getting UJ poly.
My question is would it be safe for a clown pleco in this tank or better to rehome it?

I don't know enough about specific plecos but I personally would just watch carefully and be ready to jump on rehoming if there's an issue.

My 2 aren't a problem. I hear about the common ones a lot related to the slime coat thing.

It should be fine. If you see white spots from missing slimecoat or missing soft finlets. The you know who to blame.

I actually forgot that the tank had pleco, they always hide and i only see the maybe twice since i bought them

I don't have photos, but seen it in person. Can do a lot of damage at the LFS. White and red patches on the scales, and soft finlet get eaten and just he hard spines left. This was a common pleco that did this damage.

yeah the common ones are bad about it but some like bristlenose aren't i'm not sure about clowns just keep an eye out thats what I'm doing with the royal pleco in my tank

I used to have bristlenose with my old poly crew with no problems, but wouldn't trust a common.

Still deciding if the L200 is going to stay put once the teugelsi goes in that tank. It hasn't even looked sideways at the tire track eel, so I'm assuming it's poly safe as well.
