I got a new anemone after the one that got stuck in the power head died. The clowns eased up to it immediately. I'm now noticing that one of them is acting really sluggish, almost sick looking with him. He's perching himself up on any surface of the anemone he can get on without sliding off whether it's on the side or upside down... He's not moving and breathing semi-heavy. While the other clownfish in the same anemone just actively swims around in the tentacles. Sure, they take a break and rest on the anemone from time to time but this concerns me... These guys were my first saltwater fish and have been with me through good times and bad, I don't want to loose them.

Could the anemone be killing my clownfish?

the anemone cannot be killing your clown from anything I have seen or read, in fact your anemone is likely providing safe comfort for your sick fish.

you need to QT that clown immediately. Post up some pics so that mr reef and other seasoned salt mfkers can see what's going on. also they'll need your water parameters, ammo, nitrite, nitrate, ph, phosphates, etc.

It's looking fine now, was probably just sleeping. Woke up this morning and they were both swimming around activly. but i'll keep an eye out.

ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates are all at zero.
