Hey all,

I have a 5" senegal and a 5" Clownknife, both are in my 30gallon growout tank until they are big enough to move in the big tank with the arowana, gars, etc...

Anyhoo, the clowknife spends most of the day into a little cave, but I noticed that whenever the bichir swims NEARBY it, the clownknife goes APE crazy...literally biting him! I dont see any cuts, scratches or anything, but the bichir totally freaks out.

Anybody had problems with that and should I be worried? I thought clownknives were pretty peaceful outside of their own species.

CKs can be aggressive sometimes. The CK probably feels like the Bichir is invading it's territory. You can try to remove the CK for a day and rearrange the decor and put him back. It will have to reclaim new territory and might except the Bichir as something none threatening at this point.

My Clown Knifefish used to do that too .. well .. its more of a raming then biting but only when my Senegal Bichir swim up and down in front of it but my Senegal Bichir doesn't seem bother by it
