Clownknife fish help

My 24" clown knife fish looks like his toungue turned outside his jaw I hear from opening his mouth to wide . Have read ways to try to fix it but I doubt any I have read will help. Anyone else have luck fixing this issue? I have had him for 12 yrs or so would hate to lose him

Anyone got any ideas? Got clove oil was going to try to pop it back through after I knock him out

My clown has the same thing, did u ever figure out how to help or did the fish not make it?
