Hi. I have a 15in ck and he will be getting either a 100 or 125. But i will try for a 180 as well. I was thinking of a jardini as the only tankmate. Do you guys think my ck will be fine. I dont want the jardini killing the ck. He has lived with other big fish and hasnt really fought. If not a jardini, then what other suggestions do u have? I would like a fish around a 2ft max. Thank you.

You are probably going to need something in the 180 size or larger to add a larger tank mate.
Mine is around the same size and quite messy, and he can also be territorial at times which wouldnt bode well with such a small foot print
Edit, If you get the larger sized tank I have seen several tanks on here where the jardini clown knife combo works.
I keep mine with parachromis cichlids, an ornate bichir and a lima shovelnose catfish

I haven't had any experience with Jardinis, but I do hear they can be pretty aggressive with tank mates. Some CKs can be intolerant of tank mates too. If your Jardini and CK seem okay, try it out, but keep a close eye on them. Bichirs are always good tank mates for larger fish:)

i have never owned a jar so i can only speak to what others have posted and they can be aggressive.to the CK i wouldnt add anything that large with one in a 125 due to its size.

Alright. I ruled out the jardini. I was talking with a guy at a fish speciality store and he said a florida gar would be a nice combo. Ideas? I have taken care of them before and do like them.
