I have 8 clown loaches that always seem to hide in a big piece of driftwood I have. They all come out when it is feeding time and they are all fat but when it is not feeding time I barely see them. When I turn the lights off to watch a movie they all seem to come out. If I get more of them will they come out when I have my lights on? thanks

Like what kinds?

I find rainbowfish do really well as dithers for clown loaches. They're not skittish at all like most tetras are and so in turn the clown loaches feel more comfortable in the tank and are always out and about. My clown loaches actually beg for food everytime somebody is near the tank.

I have some Irian rainbows in with my loaches and they're pretty cool. Here's a pic....

I have severums, angels and several loach species with my clowns.lol Have eight clowns here and they are out and about all the time and sleep at night.:grinyes:

thats weird. How long have you have them? I've read they don't like really bright lights also.

I've got some in my 75 with some giant danios and a GT, they are always swimming.
