clue for juvenille to have thick mark on adult florida gar?

guys im looking for 2 or 3 juvenille florida gars,and since my LFS have new 3inch florida gar stock. im thinkin to buy three gar from them..
any advice what things to look for(like thick marking or any clue beside the health concern) so the gar will have many nice & thick black marking on the body until adult?

i like my gar to be like one of Sol's florida gar

hard to say, if youre looking for a specific pattern then id suggest getting one that's already large w a pattern that you like. or, to get the best contrast in a gar, go with black tankwalls and or substrate

is having thickest line mark among the other juvenille of the gar is one of the clue? i'm not able to get large gar since i'll not able to bring it to my hometown.. and in jakarta it's hard to get florida gar(with long journey too) and it will be much harder to get healthy and nice pattern gar.. lol...
