Well it is as the title says, my motoro have clusters of small bumps on his surface and I would like to check with everyone if it is normal for stingrays have these.

I don't know what that is but it doesn't look right.
The ray also looks bloated.
Hopefully someone can chime in with more experience?

Hmmm, Ive been reducing feeding quite a bit these few days and the BD in with him is looking slimmer than before.

Is there a chance for internal parasite in the moroto? he had that since as long as I had him and I recently lost a smaller BD to internal parasite (white stringy poop) but the tank have already been medicated and the motoro have been his usual self always.

Also may I know how bloating looks like compared to just being fat? I always assumed he was just fat.

Fat would just be a raised back end. Given the disc is bloated all over I would not think this is just fat.
There was a guy with a Hystrix that had a similar bloated looking issue. I cant recal who it was or how it ended up? Sorry
Maybe treat for parasites again.
Anyone else out there with any suggestions?
Try some of the FB forums, they seem to be used more these days.

Weird. Haven’t seen anything like this. X2 what Jim said about the bloating, I’ve had some very fat rays, but the fat stays localized to the rump.

Keep your water changes up, and keep us updated. Good luck!

They are birthmarks, thet generally go away with age. Not related to the bloating issue.
