I've had this reef tank for a good 6 months now, everything has been doing great. My diamond goby disappeared a couple weeks ago and now there are these little clusters of orange worms appearing all over the sand. I know they didnt kill him, but he was keeping the sand stirred. They seem to be partially buried with the other parts sticking out and just laying on the sand, gathering food. Any idea what they are or how to get rid of them?

A picture would help a lot.

But it could just be:
Baby bristle worms
Spaghetti worm
Sand bed fauna.

I scooped some out, and they're green worms in the sand with orange tentacles that stretch to the surface and collect food. I have maybe 25 throughout the tank. What eats these?

That sounds like a spaghetti worm, and I would pay to have those in my tank. Theyre awesome.

They are reef safe and eat left over junk on the sand bed. If you want to get rid of them though, a decent sized six line wrasse would probably eat them.

I already have a six-lined wrasse, he pays them no attention at all. The only reason I'd like to get rid of them, is because they're everywhere and don't look the greatest. But if they're good for the tank, then I'll leave them alone.

I remember when I first got spagghetti worms in my tank....there was a CRZY explosion in population...

Then they dropped off, and now they hold at their "Carrying-Capacity". Nothing I have ever had in my tank has ever eaten them.

Heathd...I am surprised that you didnt get one in your shipment of corals. Ill send you a couple in your next one if you wanna do some hards. :D

Dont worry about them, keep us in the loop, things should only get better, not worse.
