he guys
im gettin into piranhas again
so ive emptied out my 55 gallon tank for a few
my question is
a fish store by my church has some piranhas that are barley more than a cm long
so theyre pretty much fry
theyre like 3 bucks
i was gona get a few of them sometime next week or tomorrow depending
but i bought some frozen krill for em but should i go ahead and put them in my 55 or make a 10 gallon tank for em
whats best?

if you really want some natts, you have the wrong size tank. if you are planning on using the 55 as a grow out, you could buy enough to stock their future tank and go from there.

How many do you want to get ? the problem with a 55 is the depth. with it only being 12" deep a full grown RBP can reach up to 12" but closer to 10" still leaving no very much room for turning. A 75 is better b/c it has 18" of depth. But If you were to keep a single RBP in a 55 you should be fine. But a good school or RBPs is sooo much more fun to watch.

the 55 isnt for life
and as fast as rpb grow
i doubt theyre going to outgrow the 55 for as long as i will be keeping them

You don't plan on keeping them long ?
You going to grow them out and sell them ?

Either way as long as you know they will outgreow the 55 then your good

your making it sound like they gorw full size over night
it takes a few years
i dont keep fish for that long
i try to but i dont
when they get bigger i will either have a bigger tank by then or sell them and start over

No thats not what I meant sry if you took it that way (prolly bad wording on my part) they won't grow to full size overnight duh lol I don't consider a few years (2-3) to be long I guess. Or at least in my book thats not long I hope to have my Ps for years and years lol

Sry if i sounded like a ***

put 5 p's in a 10 when you think they are big enough, put them in the 55. and when you think they are big enough, sell or trade them.
