Now this has got to be a "safe" topic...
I think the process is cruel and unethical. Dyed fish are those which have been artifically colored to make them more appealing to some fishkeepers. These fish are cruelly injected with colored pigments. They are injected with special dyes using a hyperdermic needle.
Others are said to be "TaTooED" by injecting the pigment into their skin at dozens of separate sites
Others are said to be "DippED" in various chemicals and that special Dyes or paint are said to stain the actual skin of the fish.
If you look at the size of the fish and the Bore of the Needle used, and make a comparison of scale, it would be like the equivalent of us receiving several Injections with a Needle the... same Diameter as a PenciL!

whatever dude. i dont like them myself but you are lame. you never ask any real questions. you just throw out stuff for people to argue against. there ARE people who like and enjoy keeping these animals. what about horses being branded or dogs having their tails docked or their ears cropped. there are lots of things in this world that are cruel. live with it. every stinkin thread i read from you is LAME!!!!! NO, THIS TOPIC ISNT SAFE EITHER!!!!

This topic has been done before. To the Pros Cons and all people in between, please think twice before participating in this thread and sparking a controversy that has been addressed a million times before.

I dont think there is a person here that does not have an opinion regarding this process. And there is nothing either side can do but to convince the other. Its just a waste of bandwith.

Couldnt agree more. This topic has been beaten to death and I don't think that it should be awoken any time soon. I respect other peoples choices in fish and if they wanna keep dyed fish I dont care.
