cntrl alt DELETE this noise for me! LOUD LOUD LOUD overflow. please help

its the down pipe sucking air, and its making a ton of noise. its a normal store bought overflow.

there isnt air in the siphon, and it ran for like half an hour at 1am....its tooo loud

how do i get rid of this awefull noise!!! it eco's through the house!!

You should look at the All Glass tanks with the back overflows. They have a stand pipe designed that is very very quiet. It is worth checking out.
