ok hi all , i followed a youtube video for making my own CO2 generator and connected it to a SMALL filter just to circulate the bubble and defuse them, so anyways, this is the recipe i did and it has been more than 24 hours but bubble are minimal

1/4 Teaspoon of yeast
2 cups sugar
1 liter water
1/4 teaspoon of baking soda

what am i doing wrong?

thanks yall

How large of a tank are you going to use this on? If its larger then 40 gallons I wouldnt waste your time as DIY Co2 doesnt have the strength or ability to do anything larger. The ingreadiants look right. But how about more detail how you did everything.

thanks for the reply, i have a 60 gal and you say DIY is bad?? :( oh well,,,
the setup is
first bottle for CO2 generator
second smaller bottle for bubble count and residue catch
then tube into the tank connected to a TINNY filter just for defusing bubbles,,,,,
ill get a pic if this setup for a 60 gal is worth anything.... if not.. oh well,,,, back to the drawing board!

Diy co2 just won't be effective enough for that size of tank. In fact most that try it end up with bba issues and plants that struggle. A good pressurized system is your best option.
