I bought the Red Sea Pro CO2 system about a week ago, but due to space and initial cost, I opted for the paintball system. The guy at the LFS was fairly certain there was a way to adapt that regulator over later to accommodate a larger cylinder (i.e. a 5lb). I've looked around and see ways to adapt a paintball cylinder to a standard regulator, but not a paintball regulator to a standard cylinder.

Red Sea says I have to buy another setup from them, but there has to be an adapter somewhere. Anyone? In hindsight, I wish I would have just put my own system together, but I'm $200 in the hole at the moment, so trying to work with what I have.

i dont know if it would work, but this is EXACTLY why i tell people to stay away from these paintball systems. more hassle than theyre worth, and youll quickly see you should have gone with a regular setup :)

and FWIW, you could have put together a complete co2 system including tank for around $200, using a milwaukee regulator. id try to sell that thing if you could

Though I think it's a bit overpriced having done some more research, it is still a solid system so far. In just the past week I've noticed a difference in my plants. I was just hoping that it would be scalable down the road. I always buy bigger then I really need just for that reason.
