I'm adding a Red Sea CO2 System and wondered if I could place it in my sump? Would I lose all the benefits with the gas exchange down there? Thanks.

when you aerate your tank you're not just oxygenating your tank you're also mixing in carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. A well aerated tank is sometimes all you need.

Anarekist, I always thought that surface aggitation, like with an airstone, caused CO2 to be released from the tank. I say because I have die hard plant friends that would only use a canister, never a sump because there's too much aggitiation. Some people also run an airstone when their lights are off after CO2 is stopped so the pH doesn't fall. Any thoughts?
