Using a Nutrafin CO2 system. 2 Questions:

(1) How many days until you can notice results in your plants?

(2) For a 10 gallon aquarium which notch should the tube be in the bubble counter/diffuser? Top, middle or bottom?

I would say in a couple of hours you should see the plants bubbling provided you have adequate lighting and fertilisation to go with the Co2.
As for the second question, i have never used nutrafin before so i cant help you there. However the longer the exposure of Co2 to the water the better the diffusion efficiency.

last notch the more the merrier as for results it depends if your roots have ebstablised or not and you have a nutrient source and 3 watts per gall of lighting 6500k prefered min 10 hrs no more then 12hrs

Howdy,

a) I hate to say it, but don't expect too much ... I had CO2 on my 80 gal and never saw a big difference... healthy plant growth really depends on so many factors that - in my eyes - CO2 is overrated. A good substrate fertilizer and regular use of liquid fertilizers as well as a good spectrum of new lights is far more important.

b) I assume your CO2 system came with a table for pH and kH calculations. The ideal CO2 level can easily be derived from the kH, and you will simply adjust the pH via CO2

All the best,

For this particular unit you should have the output either in the middle position or nearest to the bottom, dependant on your CO2 needs. As far as how long it will be until you see results that depends on whether or not your plants are recieving ample nutrient and light. I have the same unit on my 20 gallon planted tank and it works great!

I have been usin C02 for at least a month now, along with ample lighting @ least in the 5000k range, "I use a mix of lighting all above 91 color rendering index (CRI), Your next problem will be nutrients-macro and micro.

A friend of mine is using CO2 in his 125 gal. He didnt see results when he first added it so he also thought it was over rated, but he found out he was not dosing enough and it was not diffusing well. He tried a different setup and man.. that sucker is lush!!

Results were noticed about a week after starting.
