supposedly this product (http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/Prod_Display.cfm?pcatid=6318&N=2004+2032+113779) uses the little fizz tablets to produce CO2 and releases it into the chamber, where it stays and slowly dissolves into the aquarium. first off, does this thing actually work? if not, why do you think? and secondly, what is the purpose of the chamber? couldn't you just use an airstone on the end? i'd appreciate the info! :feedback:

I personally have never used that exact one, but I have a similar kind. You can put an airstone, but the purpose of that thing on the end is too keep the bubbles in the water longer. If the bubbles have no resistance they will hit the top very quickly and be gone.

they do work but the problem is you get alot of co2 all at once versus a constant amount for a longer period of time. your better off making the 2 ltr bottle reactor with sugar and yeast or going to a pressurized system. but i wouldnt even worry about co2 until youve gotten your lighting above 2 wpg and have a decent substrate
