cobra pikes

hey all I think im going to get one . what sex is more colorful? how aggressive? i realy cant lose either way it will be going in a 180 with various other cichlids,two of wich will be pikes;semifasciatus;and a bellycrawler.

Cobra pike is pretty rough when it comes to other pikes. My male is about 9 inches long and he trys to kill my Atabajos every chance he gets. He had my Xingu I in hiding for about 4 months. Now I have all the pikes seperated and he gets along fine with my severums, geos, etc. If i remember correct it is the female that has the better colors in the long run. Good luck with the purchase.

wouldn't trust it with those 2 other pikes unless they have places it couldn't get to. Probably not even then though.

either sex is great as they become a nice orange/red mix.

I just got my cobra,he was too small to put in my 180 so i put him in the 55gal. its in with 2 white convicts and 2 jewls. he's already dominante. its color is not exactly what i expected mostly greenish with some dark spots around the face maybe it needs to get older or time to ajust i'll post pics when i get my camera / computer connection right
