Cobra Snakehead eating own tail . .Help ?

I have a 2 foot channa marulius today I noticed he has destroyed the plants in his 1000G tank and is attaching his own tail otherwise he is feeding well and water PH is 7. I am doing a water change today just in case. I also added some live food today I havent given him live food for some time now.

If it's like my case 26" (marulius).
It had some wound on its tail (not at trim but in center).
I think it is instinct to curing itself.

I'm not sure, maybe wrong.

Yes it is an ARA I solved the tail eating by placing a mirror. Its growing back. Can you see the small spots on the head ? what are they ?

My fish is also experiencing the same issue.Every time my fish is eating its own tail .
