Hey everyone. Here is an update of my newest fish: a 12" female cobra pike. She was flaring her gills at her reflection so I decided to take a couple shots. I was surprised at the size of her mouth. She's still a little skiddish around the camera so her coloration is a little stressed. I'm still waiting for that dorsal fin to come up. Hopefully once I fatten her up, she'll start showing off some more red.

Wow, beautiful specimen. Cobra pikes are definately one of the species I'm most interested in keeping. Also, what kind of sand is that?

I would bet that it is Pool Filter sand.

U get than from Ken?

yep, Cobras only have the reticulated pattern as juvies, Adults females turn red, looks like she has settled in nicely. She has a huge mouth, I fed her some 3" midas when she first came in. I still have 8, 4" cobras in stock. Ken

Thanks for the comments guys. The sand is pool filter sand. I would highly recommend it considering its cheap and doesn't clog the filters. I'd also like to thank Fishfarm for the excellent service. You guys should jump on those remaining cobras. I'll keep you guys updated on mine.

cobras are interesting...the red seems highly variable, unlike in T-reds. The cool thing about cobras is the complexity of colors, they have a real rainbow, lots of yellow which no-one usually comments on, gray, pink, the stripes stay somewhat evident even as adults. They are't aas much an impact to me as T-reds...but their looks are more complex.

WOW, now that is one multicolored, beautiful girl with a huge mouth, love the attitude. I would say that has got to be one of the best looking pikes ive ever seen........Ken, I may have to hit you up when I get this tax money back.
