Oregon, it's part of 'Murica!
Anyone else ever use coconuts as caves for smaller fish? My smaller fish would always love spawning in them over terracotta pots or to just hide in. Saw a coconut at the store today and decided to make a new one.

Its really simple to do. Start by cutting it open to remove the milk. Then boil it for a few hours to remove most of the tannins, occasionally replacing the water. Then use a spoon to remove the meat and scrub the inside with something rough to remove any leftover meat. Boil one more time, and then let it cool.

So that's what happened to the bra for my hula girl outfit. I don't know if I would go through all that work just to make some caves, but if I was already using coconuts for the water and meat then I can see trying to save the shell to work, but for some reason they make me think of a spongebob themed tank.
