Cod as fish food?

Do you think Cod would be a good main ingredient for fish food?

I just received about 30 pounds of frozen Cod fillets from a family member.

I like Cod but my girlfriend won't eat it so I was thinking about making some fish food.
I have made fish food in the past out of shrimp but never Cod.

I was thinking about grinding it up with some spirulina powder, liquid bird vitamins and some clear jello to bind it, and freeze it in ice cube trays.

Would be all purpose food for cichlids, barbs, tetras ect...

Best way to make your own food, my only concern is the cod I've never used it but we use whitefish all the time, can't see the problem?
